When Cala approached us for their brand film, we knew we wanted to create something genuinely different.
Instead of the typical house builder's beauty reel, we focused on injecting emotion and realism into the narrative. The story unfolds in a customer's home, showcasing parallel journeys of family growth and Cala's dedication to homebuilding. We enhanced this authenticity using handheld camera work, on-set audio, and thoughtful lighting choices.
To illustrate the passage of time, we incorporated subtle details like the daughter's lion teddy appearing throughout scenes. The morning wake-up scene, for instance, features carefully positioned lighting to capture that warm, early morning ambiance that parents know all too well.
The motion control rig was a game-changer, allowing us to programme precise camera movements and blend multiple shots seamlessly, showing the passage of time in an emotive way.
Cala's team was thrilled with our creative approach. The concept resonated so strongly that it became the clear frontrunner, setting a new benchmark in property marketing in the UK.
